END THAT SIN STRUGGLE NOW. READ THIS! (1)

For you to even read this, the Lord has started something very amazing in your life.  I can’t fully explain everything in this one post, so you will have to follow our updates to get the full pack (1-3). I’m just excited to share this with you. I want you to open your hearts to receive these amazing truths that are being revealed through The Word of God.
Many of us don’t know the difference between a sinner and a born-again believer who sinned. You are not a sinner because you do wrong things. No! That doesn’t make you a sinner. Sin is a nature, not an act. The act is just a product of the nature. Make sure you get this. You and I were sinners not because of what we did. Romans 5:19 says “Just as through the disobedience of one man, the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man, many will be made righteous.” Because of Adam’s decision, his seed were made sinners. It has nothing to do with whether you are moral or not. But Glory to God, the same verse says by one man’s obedience, many will be made righteous. When you were born, you were born into sin (psalm 51:5). It’s your nature. Once you receive Christ, you are a not the same person. You didn’t change, a new person that has never been in existence manifested, this is to tell you that you are not who you see in the physical mirror.  You are a spirit. Your spirit controls your mind and your mind is in charge of your body (proverbs 23:7; for as a man thinks in his heart so is he), good! Let’s go on. When you are born in Christ, you cannot have the nature of sin, it’s not possible. Look! ‘IN CHRIST’. There is no sin in Christ. This is amazing. Once you’re born in God you have ZOE (LIFE)! Whenever I think of this, I get emotional. What kind of love is this that the Father has showed us that we may be called THE SONS OF GOD?
You now have ANOTHER NATURE and that is the nature of righteousness. Paul addressed this in Romans 8:1(Now, there is no condemnation for they that are in Christ).it says there is no condemnation NOW! Not in heaven, now! To those who ae in Christ Jesus. For God to condemn you, He must condemn Jesus because you are in Him. God Never condemns you once you are in Christ. Does that mean you are free to sin? No! If you think like that, it is tangible evidence that you are not born again. Paul said there is no condemnation to them who are in Christ, who walk not after the flesh but walk after the spirit.
I wouldn’t tell you to roar like a lion or bark like a dog, why? Because it is not your nature, rather I’d tell you to talk, walk, think or sing because you can. God can never tell you to walk in righteousness if you are a sinner. He tells you to walk in righteousness because you are righteous. So if you are born again, trust me, you do not feel comfortable with sin because it is not who you are, it isn’t your nature. That is why you cry when you do wrong. Sinners don’t feel they have done anything wrong. I am not saying you should cry. In fact, I am saying you should stop crying. God had already forgiven you before you committed that sin. That is why in Hebrews 4:16, He said we should RECEIVE our forgiveness not BEG for it! So now our confession should be, “Father, I acknowledge what I just did is wrong and is not a part of me. I’m sorry and I receive my forgiveness in The name of Jesus.” Glory b to God. We are not slaves of sin! We re righteous. And as we get enlightened, we will see how to walk in the light of this revelation and kill the mentality of sin having dominion over us.

KILL SELF-PITY

Self-pity not only slows one down. It is destructive too! The devil uses it many times. The devil is a loser. A big one. He knows he can do nothing about it so he tries to make you ignorant of the winner you are and the loser he is. Self-pity is one of those fiery darts of the devil. Refuse to be trapped in self-pity. Self-pity is not simple. It’s complicated to the core!! Highly complicated! It can twist your life and get you entangled to the point you give up. He uses this mostly on leaders. You may find yourself in a very depressing situation; or you may make a silly mistake. Okay, imagine, if Pastor Benny Hinn’s daughter was deaf and dumb or if Pastor Chris’ son was blind.  You know what that looks like. These men have been used to liberate millions of oppressed folks. They could choose to die in self-pity saying stuff like “God, you called me and this is what I get for obeying you, I can’t do this anymore!” Or, they could choose to stick to the word. And trust me, if you stick to the word you will come back with a testimony.

Self-pity makes you think God has not forgiven you and can never forgive you. Snap out of it! He died for your sins, right? When He died, were you born? Think about it, He died for the sins you were to commit. Your future sins were nailed to the cross. Glory to God. We are the light of the world; we can’t illuminate the world when we still find comfort in the boulevards of self-defeatism.

You may be going through an ugly situation now. You can easily go about lamenting about the better life you are supposed to have and feeling sorry for yourself. Or, you can stick to The Word. See, self-pity will only leave you depressed and hopeless while The Word will not only make you happy but will ultimately bring a solution to your problem.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PORNOGRAPHY

PORNOGRAPHY is something we all know about and no matter who we are now, we all have had a running with it once or more in our past. For me, I was stuck in pornography for three years. You see I use the word ‘stuck’ here cos that is how I felt, trapped. Most people who watch porn now think they are getting pleasure but all they are really getting is deeper and deeper into bondage. Pornography is like a jail cell which is so comfy that we forget what it is. We stay in this cell and think we are having fun or gaining happiness when actually, we are just getting deeper and deeper into captivity. See the funny thing about this jail cell is that the door is always open but because it is so seemingly comfortable we do not want to come out. Until one day the door slams shut and we realize we have wasted our lives in pursuit of fools’ pleasure and can now do nothing about it.
I watched porn for three years. In my case, I saw pornography as a way of getting away from all the hassles I was facing in my life. It got so bad that I had to dig deep into pornography to get any pleasure from it. In those three years of immorality, I was able to establish myself as a sex-craving fool in school, I lusted after every girl that passed by me, I almost even turned gay. I started seeing women including my sisters as tools for pleasure and if not for God, I would have done something I would have regretted for the entirety of my life. Because you see that is what porn does, it makes you see things that would be otherwise be extremely disgusting as deeds done for the purpose of pleasure. I suffered in search of happiness from porn for three years but all I got was guilt and extreme lust.
Lecrae, the rapper conveyed the effect of sins like pornography when he said “I know it’s going to kill me but I just can’t let it go and the taste of the feeling has got a grip upon my soul, these honey-dipped lies mesmerized me, pride has got its crooked fingers twisting all inside me.” This is a perfect description of pornography it starts out as a source for happiness until one day, you see the degradation it has brought to your soul, you start fighting for your freedom but you see that the devil has finally closed the cell door and only a miracle can get you out of there, you become an addict. Watching pornography; not because you love it but because you just have to.  But this is where you see God’s love at work most that even while you are there wallowing in pornography, He is not looking at the man you are(in pornography) but He is looking at the man His love is going to make you, the happy, successful, changed man. He isn’t looking at your sin to condemn you but He is looking at His son to save you.  All He needs is for you to sincerely seek Him, reach out your hand to Him and He will take it and pull you out of that fiery furnace. Some people are still in pornography because they are too proud or scared of the shame of their condition, but here is another offer from God; there is no condemnation for they that are in the Lord. When the Lord Almighty justifies you, no one can condemn you.
Pornography used to be my ugly story but now, that story is building the faith of people everywhere. This can be the same for you too. If you are into an addiction of any sort and you are seeking a way out, God is giving you an offer of an awesome life on earth and a much more awesome life afterwards. Just pray with your whole heart to your heavenly Father and He will come and save you. Pray!
For my fellow brothers who are already saved from pornography, do not think the battle is over. Flee from all appearances of evil. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Run away from anything that looks like or talks about fornication like it is the right thing to do. any movie that makes sex look too important, no matter how interesting it may seem, is just a tool the devil uses to plunge freed slaves like us back into captivity. Stay away from them and pray earnestly for the Grace of God to help you win this war. God help us all.

UNDERSTANDING TRUE LOVE

At a point in my walk with God, I was totally confused on what this subject was all about. Totally confused! I just knew that my heart was not programmed for hate! Ha-ha. I hated hate but when a true test of love showed up many times I failed. I did not want to condemn people, but I found myself condemning people, I just found out that Paul in the bible experienced something similar. He said that he found himself doing things he did not want to do. Trust me, I wanted to love everybody {because it is the nature of the new creature to love} but I could not do what I did not understand. When I say love I mean loving with all sincerity. Not some sincerity, all sincerity! I mean wanting the best for someone no matter what the person does. I want to love even when people hate me.

 I wanted to love sincerely. Though I did not retaliate; I did not love, I endured. One day I decided to research on this four letter word. God lead me to his word John16:12. He did not just lead me, He opened my heart to understand. As I read it, I was like “What!?” Love men how Christ loved us? The first question of course is, how did Christ love us? When we didn’t deserve it, when we were out rightly mess, when we hated, persecuted and rejected him, He loved us and gave His life for us. It sounded crazy to me until I was reminded by the spirit that God is love. So if you don’t know love, don’t claim to know God.

After this, I decide to stick to love completely, no matter what! I didn’t sign up for a struggle; I just realised it is now my nature to love and I will stick to it. It is your nature too, that is why you are not comfortable with hate. We shouldn’t bother ourselves with whether people would like us if we act in certain ways, Don’t let your amazing self be downcast due to someone’s attitude towards you. Our only duty should be to keep loving. That’s what makes us supernatural beings. Love is a supernatural ability! Humans can’t love. It’s not their nature! It’s the nature of the born again to love. I remember talking to a friend and I asked, “Hey, do you believe in love?” She said ‘love? Hah, I asked God to kill that part of me a long time ago and woo! He did!’ what!? You asked God? God? That’s not God. God never heard that prayer. He can’t answer what he didn’t hear. The devil was quick to show you the way and give you abundance of hate. The enemy can’t stand love, it paralyses him. God is love and if you have his life in you, you must walk and live in love. So you might ask for a thorough definition of love. This is it, LOVE IS A SUPERNATURAL ABILITY, A MIRACLE OF ITS OWN, A SUPERNATURAL ABILITY THAT INFLUENCES YOUR ENTIRE PERSONALITY IN SUCH AN OVERWHELMING WAT THAT A PERSON DOES NOT FOCUS ON THE WRONGS AND FLAWS OF ANOTHER PERSON, but RATHER HE SEES THE BETTER PERSON IN THAT INDIVIDUAL.

DEFINE YOURSELF, BUILD YOUR CHARACTER!

 

Your character is not your attitude. Your attitude is what you exhibit as a result of the content of your character. Your character is what defines you. It’s what makes you a great person. This reminds me of a particular time in school when I was seen as a villain solely because of the message I preached. I didn’t give in. why should I be worried or depressed because of what people say about me. Your character is seen when times aren’t so pleasant. When people say crap about you, how do you respond? My response is to keep praying for them and declaring the word of God. I stick to the word! Nothing can ever stop me because my character is always solid.

I laugh when people say things like ‘my personality is who I am but my attitude depends on who you are.’ To an ignorant fellow, that might be an amazing quote. But that doesn’t even make sense. If your attitude depends on someone else actions, you have no character! You are a machine! You have a controller. Someone can make you do nasty things just by uttering some words. A great man once said, “I am not moved by what I see, I am not moved by what I feel, I am moved by what I believe!” I agree with him. This is why you should not build your life on mere quotes. Build your life on the word of God. Trust me, nothing else gives you accurate principles for the best life ever.

WHO ARE YOU BY OKAFOR VICTOR

I am sure you have heard the sentence ‘Be yourself’ countless times, tried to be yourself yet it didn’t really seem like it made a difference in your life. Right? The reason that happens is very simple: you can never become what you don’t know. That is the problem. Many of us don’t know who we really are and that’s why we keep being motivated for 5 seconds whenever we hear ‘Be yourself’ and later go back to the same old story. We have to be ourselves, but I think we should know who we are so as to become the best we could ever be. You must be asking yourself, “Ok now, I get but who am I? How would I know who I am? I’ll help you with that. I’ll tell you exactly who you are. You are the best gift to the world. There never was and never will be anybody like you. You are, a chosen race, a peculiar person, a royal priesthood [1 peter 2:9]. You see, your market value is the SON OF GOD. He died for you! If you were the only one on earth, he still would have died for you. If you are an addict and you are ashamed of that kind of life, then some motivational speaker comes and tells you to be yourself. Don’t kill your life by misunderstanding him/her. You could start thinking “well, why should I be uncomfortable with the addiction? That’s just me. I am me! Let me be myself!” that’s a big lie from the devil! You are NOT an addict. When I tell an addict ‘Be yourself’, I’m not talking about your addicted self, I’m talking about you realizing the amazing person God has made you and live according to that realization!

GOD'S BIG IDEA

Many of us walk this earth clueless of what we really are or why we are even here, nonplussed about the purpose of our very existence. This article is for the children and youth of our nations who are disillusioned with the trappings of religion, turned off by the disappointment of politics and distrustful of the empty promises of science. This is God’s big idea. For years I was also confused and disappointed by the world and all its failing systems until I stumbled upon this great Story. It is an idea that supersedes all ideas ever brought up by mankind, an idea that explains this world in an easily understood, practical, reasonable and earth-friendly manner.

What is this idea? It is the divine comprehension of the colonization of earth by the kingdom of heaven, impacting the earth with God’s loving culture and producing citizens who exhibit the nature, ethics and values of Heaven on Earth. It is not a religious idea but global invasion of love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, patience, justice, and righteousness under the influence of the heavenly governor; The Spirit of God. Here it goes:

It starts with Heaven, the nation created by God. God is Her King and He rules over all His angels in it. Below heaven, there was an empty waste filled with darkness called the Earth. God had a plan. He wanted to expand His awesome Kingdom to other places so first He brought His light to the earth, gave it a form with a view to making it the land for what would be the new colony of Heaven. After this God decided to create a little glimpse of Heaven on Earth, He created a garden. This garden called Eden represented the nation of Heaven in its entirety. God was her King and she basically had Heaven’s constitution of love. In this garden, God put many beautiful plants and animals and then God created man. Man was created in God’s image, a spiritual being in an earthly body in the natural realm called earth. He put them in this awesome home and gave them a simple instruction, “Be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth.”(<BIBLE:Gen 1:28>) the first humans were Adam and Eve. They were free with only one prohibition-“do not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil” (<BIBLE:Gen 2:16-17). For a while, man and God lived together in harmony, they spoke in the same language- the heavenly language and man did what God commanded him. But Satan, God’s archenemy, a traitor to Heaven, hated God’s plan so he sought to destroy it. Using subtle and wise methods, He got man to disobey God’s only prohibition. See Eden had a moral code which prohibited murder, hate and immorality. Man had lived according to but in ignorance of this moral code. Now after eating the fruit, Adam and Eve got knowledge of the weight of this moral code and it pressed on them causing guilt and shame. The Kingdom of Heaven is too strict to tolerate any mutiny so Adam and Eve had to leave the garden with the evil Satan had given them. God had wanted Adam and Eve to manage the garden and turn more fallow ground into beautiful gardens but now this plan had failed. As Adam and Eve moved on in their new life, evil increased in their descendants while God worked out a plan to regain His earthly kingdom. Then in Genesis 12, God raised up Abraham whose descendants formed God’s new kingdom. Later, God sent His only son to the earth from a virgin’s womb. His son, Jesus, had to sacrifice His life as an offering to reconcile man unto God. By His death and resurrection, He broke the bondage man had to sin. He sowed an ultimate seed for the garden to get started again. This new colony had its rules not on stone tablets but in the hearts of those who believed. So that believers didn’t force themselves to live by God’s moral code but instead did it naturally without forgetting God’s original intent for creating them- “Be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth”. Man can now live here on earth still fulfilling God’s original purpose for man with the gifts and talents God has given him- expanding the Kingdom in the same way a garden grows and bringing more people into the light. Then at the end of this life, he can drop the natural body on earth and return as a spiritual being to God’s Kingdom.

Now after a fixed period of time, those who didn’t join the new colony would be destroyed and God will create a new heaven and a new earth, a more perfect version of Eden inhabited by His people all fulfilling God’s original purpose for them. THIS IS GOD’S BIG IDEA.
